Best time to trek in Everest Base Camp

Best time to trek in Everest Base Camp

The best time to trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal is during the spring season (March to May) and autumn (September to November). During these months, the weather is relatively stable with clear skies offering great views of the mountains. Additionally, temperatures are mild, making it comfortable for trekking.

It is important to note that the monsoon season (June to August) is not recommended for trekking as the heavy rains make the trails slippery and increase the risk of landslides. Winter (December to February) is also not ideal as temperatures can drop significantly. The higher reaches of the trail may be covered in snow and ice, making the trek more challenging.
